Daytona Beach Seabreeze High school came into the 2006 season with a lot of question to be answered. After going 6-4 the previous year, the Sandcrabs was supposed to go through a rebuilding year with many young players. Instead of rebuilding, Seabreeze enjoyed a successful year making it all the way to the Regional Finals. One huge reason for their success was the play of junior quarterback Troy Dannehower.

After losing in the regional finals two years in a row, the Jensen Beach Lady Falcons are one game away from winning their school’s First state championship after a 48-43 victory over Orlando Bishop Moore.

Palm Beach Gardens do it all athlete Emmanuel Cook doesn’t lack of confidence. In fact he is quick to tell you that he is one of the best players in the state. Why should he lack confidence? He helped to lead the Gators to an 8-2 record last year before losing in the Regional Finals to Pompano Beach Ely. This year the Gators are looking to make another run at the state title and Cook will be leading the way.

Each year many websites and recruiting guru’s provide a ranking as who they feel is the best players across the state and nation. Most of the top players are then either recruited to attend a particular college or even make the big leap into the NBA after high school. While all college coaches love the superstars, they spend day and night looking for the hidden gems that can come in and help their programs. One player who looks to become one of the hidden gems for the class of 2005 is Fort Walton Beach G/F Jeremy Payne.
