On a team that features two of the top players in the nation in Dwayne Bacon and Corey Sanders, it is easy to get overlooked.  But after a very hot start to the AAU season, many schools are starting to take notice of Orlando University’s forward Joshua Raoul.

Raoul is a class of 2015 wing forward who plays with Team Showtime Ballers.  At 6’7, he runs the floor very well and is a good shooter who can knock down the three ball.  He also plays above the rim and is not afraid to make his opponent apart of his highlight reel.

Raoul is a three year Varsity starter.  As a sophomore at Orlando University High School, he averaged 15 points a game during his first year playing for the Cougars after transferring from Orlando Christian Prep.

During Raoul Junior year, he increased his scoring output to 19 points a game and helped lead University to a 15-11 record before losing to eventual state champions Winter Park in the district semifinals.

“During my sophomore year everyone just looked at me as a jump shooter.  Over the summer I just worked on my game and wanted to attack the basket and get stronger.  I felt that was the difference and I felt that I got much better and played better during my junior year.”  Raoul said.

Colleges has also noticed the difference in Raoul as they have started to pay closer attention to Raoul.

So far he currently have an offer from Florida Gulf Coast and is getting heavily recruited by University of South Florida, Davidson, Charleston Southern and Murray State.

Over the summer, Raoul will be playing with Showtime Ballers for the AAU season

.

“I chose to play with Team Showtime because I feel that I can be seen more.  They do a lot of traveling and plays on a big stage and with the players that they have, I feel it can only make me better.”  Raoul said.

Raoul also states that he will be switching high schools as he plans to return to Orlando Christian Prep for his senior year.
